Tour Overview

This journey offers an immersive experience into Bhutan’s rich culture, sacred traditions, and breathtaking Himalayan landscapes, covering the valleys of Paro, Thimphu, Punakha, and Gangtey.

The tour begins in Paro and continues to Thimphu, the capital city, where travelers explore iconic landmarks such as the towering Buddha Dordenma, ancient monasteries, traditional museums, vibrant markets, and important government and religious centers. This introduction provides a deep insight into Bhutan’s unique blend of spirituality, tradition, and modern governance.

Journey Details

More about the route, places, and experience.

From Thimphu, the journey crosses the scenic Dochula Pass with panoramic Himalayan views before descending into the fertile Punakha Valley. Here, visitors experience Bhutan’s former capital, visiting majestic dzongs, sacred temples, and cultural sites set among lush rice fields and river valleys.

The adventure continues into the beautiful Phobjikha (Gangtey) Valley, a glacial valley known for its pristine natural beauty and as the winter home of the endangered black-necked cranes. Travelers also explore ancient monasteries and enjoy peaceful hikes through alpine landscapes.

The route then leads back to Paro, offering opportunities for scenic hikes through forests, mountain passes, and rural villages, showcasing Bhutan’s untouched natural environment and traditional rural lifestyle.

A highlight of the journey is the iconic hike to the Tiger’s Nest Monastery, one of Bhutan’s most sacred landmarks dramatically perched on a cliffside. This spiritual and adventurous experience is complemented by visits to ancient temples such as Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest in the kingdom.

The tour concludes in Paro, leaving travelers with unforgettable memories of Bhutan’s spiritual heritage, vibrant culture, and spectacular Himalayan scenery.
